History: The College of Arts and Design in Matosinhos (ESAD) was born in 1989 as the first institution in the country dedicated exclusively to training in Design. Continues today, over twenty years later, the main aim of training their students to understand the role of Design and the Arts and for intervention in national and international contexts.
