History: The Poltécnico Institute of Porto (IPP) was established in 1985 and resulted in the revival of Polytechnic started in Portugal in 1979. The colleges that initially joined the IPP were the School of Education (ESE) and the School of Music (ESM) and the School of Health Of these, only the two first started the business in 1985.
